Bonneville Salt Flats and the Great Salt Lake

I'm not at my point of residence where I can do a full blown blog post today.  But I'm giving you a little link to Alice's blog.    (daughter)   It's interesting to note that she and her family were in Salt Lake City the weekend before I was in Salt Lake City.   So our posts are looking like each other's.   I was going to eventually do a post on the Bonneville Salt Flats and swimming in the 15,000 year old little puddle called Salt Lake.  But Alice did such a nice job of it, I'm directing my post over to her's today.    Ironically, events occurred that put me in SLC again today so it's like dejavou.  Or however you spell that cute little French word.   I feel like I've just been here.  So take a little trip over to the Underground where she shows pics of the salt flats and the next post down swimming in the lake.  I like her posts better than mine.   And if I could write like her, I'd love it.  :)

  2. I also enjoyed her post. And I enjoy your posts. I found out that the Salt Lake is still pretty big, which after reading about "the puddle" all the time here... I am surprised that it smells. The ocean smells wonderful unless one arrives at low tide. It's always fun to see a different part of the country!

  7. I got waylaid there reading Alice's posts. You've passed on your love of history to her and she's passing it on to her daughters. Good stuff.
