Paper Moon restaurant in Baltimore

We went up to Baltimore on Friday to have lunch at this place there.   It's pretty interesting.

As you'll see below.

We had about an hour waiting period to get a table.  We waited in an annex to the building because it was warmer than waiting outside.  You don't get bored in there because everywhere you look, you see . . . . .  things.  No theme in this place.  Just one of those cool places.  This was above my head.

And finally when we got inside, there was more "stuff" everywhere.   When we were seated, we looked up.

I should have gotten this closer.   It's a be-jungled up bunch of dolls heads and body's just put there for art's sake.

 Mannequins everywhere.

There was even two of them that looked exactly like The Dormouse and The Caterpillar.

Imagine that.

Front entry way.  Sorry.  I blurred it.

So here she is a little clearer.   I thought about blurring out "parts" of her and then thought . . . . .   It's a mannequin.  Grow up.   The toys glued to her head and neck were all little GI Joe's or soldiers of that type.  Why??   I have no idea.  That's the fun of this place.

They had pretty good food, too.  For some reason I was in the mood for a hamburger and I don't know why because I hardly ever eat those.   But it was pretty tasty.   And the french fries?

I want more.

On the way home, we stopped at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.

We only were there just a few minutes so I got a few pics of the harbor.  It's really quite pretty.

The Dormouse wanted to go into the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum really bad but it was getting dark and traffic was an issue and just couldn't do it.  Besides, it's pretty pricey to get into.   I was never a fan of Ripley's.

Big Dragon above me at the entrance.

Kinda makes you want to push, doesn't it.

  2. Glad you didn't push...this time.
Must be our generation that winces at seeing mannequins nipples. They were a constant element in some department stores and it made me feel rather embarrassed seeing points under sweater and blouses.
If there is a need for real, fine, but I am wondering if they have considered how most bodies have some fat and sags too.

It's lunch time....you've made me very hungry.
My grilled cheese sandwich will never measure up to a cheeseburger and fries. :0(

  6. I love your picture of the big ship. I did not know there is a Ripley's there! This place you ate at, WOWZERS!!!!! I am loving looking close at all the cool things, kinda like a modern art museum. If I went to D.C., this would be the first place I would go!! I bet the girls loved it!

  8. I'd have a stiff neck from looking up. No, no self-respecting grandmama ever wants to push her little darling...perhaps in summer. =D (Gee, I always kind of like Ripley's.)

  9. No wonder it takes so long to get a table at the Papermoon, once I sat down I'd be there for hours looking at all the "stuff" and taking photos. I'll bet the green nipples didn't bother the kids. Love the shot of the tall ship. I will continue to live without Ripleys. Good times.
    Happy New Year!
