I just woke up and it's 10:15 on a Sunday morning. Granted, it's the second time I've awakened this morning, but it counts.
As much as I love to fly, it can be exhausting! My patience, though, doesn't exceed two hours on a plane at 35,000. At some point I want out of that plane and I want out RIGHT NOW! It's just so hard being cramped up with people on every side of you touching every inch. And I'd just love - just once - to be on a plane that isn't "fully loaded". That used to be a gift from the airline gods, but not any more, that's for sure. I'm surprised they don't load other living bodies onto the wings just to get every cent they can
Sooo - I have to get myself ready to go play the organ in church this morning. When I was in Baltimore and we walked into the shopping area of the inner harbor, I went into a store and found these cute tin boxes. Old Bay
is an establishment on every plate in those there parts. I can get it here at Walmart, but the Baltimore area has a claim on it and people use it for lots
of good things to eat. I don't think I've ever used it, but Alice raves about it. So I bought the boxes and this is what I'm doing with them.
P.S. They could've left off the "See our Facebook page" and I'd have been happier.
:)
Oh ugly. Sorry. Myself I would decorated with something over it if I had it in my kitchen. Tee, hee Smart helic me you must think .Yet you say they are tins. I have a soda cracker tin. Mine is in the closed kitchen cupboard door.
ReplyDeleteIt is your choice so enjoy! Be happy!
At least you have put it too another use.
Happy Sunday!
Neat way to use your Old Bay tins/boxes... I've seen that seasoning I think--but not sure I've ever used it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it home safe and sound.. Sounds like you enjoyed your trip so much. That would be a little too long for me... Me thinks about 2 days is enough for me!!!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
ha ha on the facebook. :) glad you made it back home!
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling me about that claustrophobia thing on planes these days. I'll have to find a different way to travel. Those boxes are so cute...right, too bad about the Facebook page information so prominently placed...what were they thinking. Glad that you've told them!
ReplyDeleteI have that spice also...but have never used it.
ReplyDeleteHesitant to add it to anything. :0(
You use it first and tell me if you like the taste. ;0)
An organ player....you are talented! NOW I wish I had taken my piano lessons seriously when I was a kid.
(((hugs)))Pat
Hope you feel refreshed after your nice holiday with family. Flying isn't enjoyable any more unless you are up the pointy end of the plane. The tins make good storage containers.
ReplyDeleteHow cute and yet modern and old both at the same time! Phil loves Old Bay and asks for it in restaurants and would put it on everything. Glad you are back home safe and sound, but what a very fun trip you took me on!
ReplyDeleteOld Bay is a terrific seasoning. . .its great in any kind of fish dish, or fish stew, just go easy with it when you start until you find out how much you like it.
ReplyDeleteI love Old Bay but would never have bought these tins with Facebook on them!
Cheers,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
It is a little strange going backwards in time. Welcome home!
ReplyDeletei just throw those utensils you have in the boxes in the drawer so i have something to complain about when i can't find what i am looking for. since i don't cook, the drawer hunt doesn't happen much. i have not heard of this seasoning, but then i did say i don't cook... and mother only cooked with bacon grease, salt and pepper, so i don't care for seasonings in my food, like sage and other things.. if i get something with spices, i have trouble eating it... i am sure these look good with your kitty kurtains... and makes the utensils easy to find. so get cookin girl
