I wonder if his remarkable hearing ability which is way over ours is picking up something for him to guess which 'shell' is right every single time.
Or are cats just a whole lot smarter than people give them credit. Raising them as long as I have in my life, I already know that to be true.
I wonder what dogs would do here. I'm betting the same thing. Animals are incredible.
And he could be just hearing the bell.

ReplyDeletethis is amazing, the fact the cat plays the game is amazing. never seen a cat trained to so something like this. i love it... we saw a drug dog from sheriff's dept and he did this same thing, but with a piece of paper with scent under it. that is how they train them, he moved all the cans around and the dog would go right to the can with the scent. he said they have to train with them every day to keep them able to work. did i say i love this video? i dooooo

Amazing!!! And I was totally freaked out till you mentioned the sound. But still...he somehow knows to pick the one that HAS the sound, if that is how he does it. Cats are incredibly smart, they just don't dance and drool over their owners, they are way too cool for that.
