Your post on the organ at the National Cathedral for today is over at Alice's blog so you have to go over there and see the photos and history of it. I took pictures up close, but they turned out pretty pukey so I deleted all of them.
Alice and the KOH told me to ask if I could play something on it, but I didn't have the nerve to ask. Very impressive though. If you ever go see the Cathedral, plan to stay for a recital with the organ and the history of it.

wow, that is a lot of keyboards
ReplyDeleteI love the National Cathedral --but am so disgusted with the Episcopal Church right now... They are publicly marrying gays and lesbians now --and George and I are against that. SO--we won't be giving anymore money to the Cathedral. Too Bad --because we like it and were willing to help.
ReplyDeleteI'm not against a 'union' between gays or lesbians --but don't think it should be called a marriage. A marriage should be between a man and a woman --according to the Bible. Oh Well--so much has changed in our country.
Hugs,
Betsy
I have never been inside. Are you sorry that you didn't ask??? ASK next time!!
ReplyDeleteWere your fingers and toes just itching to try it? Hope that if you get the chance again that you'll ask...they can only say no.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! When we go to D.C., I am going to go in and check this out. Lovely!
