We have snow!!

Or maybe the right title is . . .We had snow.  It may be all gone by the time I get outside.

Whichever, we will take it!

These are news photos.  However, when it gets light here this morning, I'm going to try to go out to the desert to get some photos.

Snow makes for very happy people in this here hot and very dry desert.   Maybe not so much for those in higher elevations.  But we need the moisture a whole lot.

Also happening in Arizona - this:

I've driven up that road a million times going north to Utah.  They've ruled out any geological event that caused it.   Which makes my brain think. . . .  if it's a mountain/cliff collapse, isn't that a geological event?  I'm being facetious, of course.

  1. Wow, I heard about the snow on the radio as I was driving home, but we only got rain here in Gilbert. I do love the moisture though. I have also driven highway 89 many time. I'm glad no one was on the road when it "buckled." Hope you can find some unmelted snow in the desert. Stay warm.

  4. Amazing --seeing snow in Arizona.. I know that some northern areas get it---but this one went pretty far south, didn't it? That's awesome... Glad you didn't have to drive in it.

Sorry about the road... That happens alot in the mountains around here--caused usually by rock slides or mud slides.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. All it took was a little snow to make everyone crazy with happiness in the valley of the sun. Who knew?

  6. Yikes, this is really BAD! Those two cars were lucky to get away with their lives...it must have started cracking slowly along the way and that gave them time.

  7. Wow! I worry all the time about Bill and roads and weather. Crazy stuff happens, no matter how good or how careful you are. He is staying ahead of the current storm. Stay safe.
